Susan's Bio
Susan LaVere has supported the Health Professions Program in various capacities for 34 years. She currently serves as the Assistant to the Health Professions Committee and is an associate member of the National Association of Advisors for the Health Professions (NAAHP).
Susan has received awards for her outstanding service as an Assistant and for her proactive work on behalf of our students. She was presented with the Health Professions Committee Outstanding Service Award in 2003 and the Presidential Recognition Award in 2006. The student body also selected her as the Staff Member of the Year in 2005.
Susan attended the National meeting of the NAAHP in Portland, Oregon in June 2006 where she had the opportunity to meet in person many of the Deans of Admissions and program directors with whom she has worked over the years.
Susan has two grandchildren, enjoys exercising and crafting in her spare time, and is an avid fan of Toby Keith. Susan also holds a special place in her heart for both large and small cats.
