The Human Costs of War (2002) This year's speaker's series focuses on the impact of warfare and structural violence from the viewpoint of those who must live with the costs and consequences on a day-to-day basis. Civilians, soldiers and the planet earth are all victims of violence and the scars they bear tell the story of war from the viewpoint of its most intimate players. Each of this year's speakers will share with us glimpses of the devastating impact of war for human bodies and minds. They will also share possibilities and hopes for healing the wounds.
