Juniata College has two students from Aghanistan, Mahmooda Sonia Eqbal '07 and Ahmad Javaid Zeerak '06. Mike Powers '07, saw the impact of landmines while he served in the Special Forces. Sonia and Mike, both PACS POEs, decided to try to help. Working through PAX-O, they enlisted faculty and staff at Juniata to host dinners at their homes that students would "buy". 24 dinners and over 100 students raised $1008.75 during the 2nd week of February 2004 as we "Shared the Love".

As a thank you to our hosts, PAX-O students hosted a TGIF with hors d'oevres they cooked themselves. We feasted on bruschetta, chicken pillows and lots of spiced nuts.
